Hi guys, today we’re going to share how to make omelette at home. For the basic omelette, normally you just need eggs, a small knob of butter and olive oil( or vegetable oil) to make it.
We will demonstrate how to make basic omelette and mushroom omelette.
Here is the following recipe and instructions below:
Recipe:
Basic omelette:
Ingredients: (Yields: 1 serving)
2pc Large eggs
5g Butter
1/2 tsp Olive oil
Seasoning:
a pinch of Salt
a pinch of Black pepper
Mushroom omelette:
Ingredients: (Yields: 1 serving)
2pc Large eggs
30g Onion (optional)
30g Mushroom
10g Butter
1 tsp Olive oil
Seasoning:
a pinch of Salt
a pinch of Black pepper
a pinch of Oregano
OK let’s start cooking!
Instructions for basic omelette:
1. First of all, crack the eggs in a mixing bowl, seasoning with salt and pepper, then beating well with a fork.
2. Moreover, preheat your saucepan to medium heat, then turn it to low heat, add in butter and olive oil until the butter was melted. Be carefully do not let it burnt because we don’t need the nutty flavor of butter.
3.Next, turn it back to medium heat, then add in the egg mixture, use a spatula to spread out the eggs, the movement is just like cooking scramble egg.
4. When the omelette begins to cook and firming up but still have some runny eggs, erase the edges of the pan, then fold it twice. Keep frying until it have nice golden brown color. After that, remove the omelette from the heat and slide it on to a plate. Finally you will see there have a nice moon shape, your basic omelette was done!

Instructions for mushroom omelette:
Preparation
1. First, peel and cut the onion with brunoise cut(small cubes) . For the mushrooms, just remove the dirty stuff by using kitchen paper and water. Cutting with brunoise(same us onion). DO NOT wash the mushrooms directly because it will absorb the water like a sponge, once you cook it, the water will come out and make your dish become watery. Remember, just use kitchen paper and dip some water for cleaning the mushrooms.

3. Moreover, preheat your saucepan to medium heat, then turn it to low heat, add in butter and olive oil until the butter was melted. Be carefully do not let it burnt because we don’t need the nutty flavor of butter.
4. Afterwards, turn it back to medium heat, add in onion and mushrooms, keep stirring for about 5 minutes. Seasoning with salt, pepper and Oregano.

5. Furthermore, add in the egg mixture, use a spatula to spread out the eggs, the movement is just like cooking scramble egg.
4. When the omelette begins to cook and firming up but still have some runny eggs, erase the edges of the pan, then fold it twice. Keep frying until it have nice golden brown color.
